everybody Good sunday afternoon. Thanks for joining us on the web. Meteorologist Griffin hardy with an update on your forecast. Much colder temperatures again for tonight. We’ve got clearing skies as well as drier air coming in from the north, which means lows in the twenties for most of the upstate tonight. Still dry for tomorrow I think will be mainly sunny as opposed to today. We’re *** little bit cloudier at times. We’ll be cloudier again for Tuesday it looks like and looking ahead to thanksgiving. I think we stay dry but we have some rain expected for black friday more on that. Coming up in just *** sec. Let’s take *** look at the satellite radar this afternoon. Lots of scattered showers all up and down the florida peninsula this afternoon. There’s *** look at those clouds which have been *** little thicker overhead down across the southern half of our area. Just we’ve been trying to see that we’re just so close to seeing sunshine all across the area but it’s been cloudy for most of the day, especially down to the south of Greenville. Here’s *** look at that satellite picture clouds over top of Abbeville and Greenwood and laurens. Right now rest of the area along and north of I 85 has gotten to see *** little more sunshine today. Here’s *** look at that sky cam network what it actually looks like outside. Pretty cloudy in Spartanburg right now as you look down to the south but you look over more towards the west and the sun is peeking through *** little bit in that Lake Hartwell sky cam as well as in Asheville. Getting some sunshine there 48 degrees though in Greenville had not seen much relief from the cold temperatures today. Very chilly outside especially up towards Asheville at 40 degrees. So here’s the evening planner for Anderson as well as for most of the upstate temperatures dropping pretty quickly after sunset down to 37 degrees by nine o’clock. Tonight after midnight we’re going to drop below freezing. It’ll be very cold as the sky clears out and the air remains very dry. Asheville getting below freezing quickly down after quickly after sunset we’re gonna drop below freezing at 30 by seven p.m. And into those mid twenties after midnight tonight. So here are the lows town by town for tomorrow morning when you first wake up just before sunrise is when it will be its coldest outside. We’re down to 29 for the low in Greenville tonight, 28 for Anderson, 26 for Lawrence and Spartanburg, low twenties, even some upper teens near places like franklin and color we for tonight definitely layer up. It will be very chilly for tonight. So for tomorrow I think we see more sunshine than not sunshine as opposed to what we saw today where the clouds over the southern half of the area. Most of the area’s gonna be sunny tomorrow by lunchtime we’re warming up into those mid and upper forties. Then in the afternoon *** little bit more clouds work their way in, but temperatures *** little bit better for tomorrow in the fifties, for the most part staying mostly cloudy for tomorrow evening and then Tuesday morning, our future radar has *** small chance for some sprinkles early in the day Tuesday morning, but luckily not expecting anything heavy, this will just be some very light rain if anything. And most of us, probably not going to see much of anything with that just dry conditions for the vast majority of us and some sprinkles here and there. Then for Tuesday afternoon again that chance of rain continues and into Wednesday. We drive back out once again as that area of low pressure down in the gulf gives us that small chance of rain. Tuesday will be dry again Wednesday. Looking ahead to thanksgiving, we now have *** better picture of what’s going to happen it looks like for thanksgiving day. I think we’ll stay dry and just see mostly cloudy skies. Then, thursday night into friday morning we have some wet weather coming in from the west will wake up to some scattered showers. It looks like in the western half of the area, friday morning, friday afternoon looks very wet. Maybe some thunderstorms in the mix of as the rain turns *** little bit heavier friday afternoon, friday evening, then saturday morning as we get some wraparound moisture in colder air, there’s *** small chance we could see some flurries develop in western north Carolina for saturday morning That chance does not look quite as likely for us here in the upstate in northeast Georgia. Probably not gonna be cold enough for that, but this is still, you know, six days away. So we’ll obviously wait and see how the forecast develops over the next couple of days and keep you posted. So here’s the hour by hour for tomorrow, recapping here for you cold in the morning and then not too bad in the afternoon for most of us here in the apps, tabletop out in those low to mid fifties western north Carolina, more of the same. Just again, mostly sunny and *** little cold for most of the day with highs topping out in those low fifties 55. Your high for Greenfield tomorrow, 55 for Anderson as well. 54 for Spartanburg, 50 to Asheville, 50 for Hendersonville for your monday at afternoon. So here’s what we have for the four day, Mostly sunny tomorrow. Then turning mostly cloudy with *** tiny 10% chance of rain Tuesday, mostly sunny once again for Wednesday, partly to mostly cloudy at times on thanksgiving day. Then the showers turn likely for black friday for those of you try to get some shopping done might not be the best day for it. Quite honestly, it’ll be definitely rainy at times, then saturday sunday we dry out and see temperatures improve *** little bit with highs back into those low sixties here in the upstate and again that chance for flurries is there, and for the four day plus in the mountains on saturday morning will keep you posted on that as that develops as well as seeing those temperatures improved for this week, temperatures topping out around 60 Wednesday afternoon, not too bad in western north Carolina and again, luckily dry for thanksgiving day before the rain moves in. For black friday, have *** great rest of your sunday night, everybody.
