Videocast: Warmer This Week
happy monday everyone, it’s going to be sunny and cool today but *** little bit warmer by this afternoon than we have been. In fact we are going to warm up *** bit as we head into this week. We’re gonna get away from those freezing overnight lows right around Wednesday which is good news at least for *** few days with rain chances returning as we head into thanksgiving night and friday as well outside right now we’re clear, we’re dry. It’s *** nice way to kick off the work week. We’ve got *** whole lot of sunshine on the way today. In fact, as we go throughout the afternoon we’ll have mostly sunny skies tonight. We’ll begin to see clouds increase and this is tomorrow. We’ll have *** few sprinkles just to the west so you might feel *** Sprinkle or two. But I think for tomorrow really we’re gonna have mostly cloudy skies. Here’s *** look at Wednesday, *** big travel day, look at this all across the region. We are looking at mostly sunny skies. So if you’re getting in your car and maybe driving to Atlanta or Nashville, charleston, Jacksonville, you’re gonna have quite *** bit of sunshine to enjoy now by thanksgiving day itself we are looking at mostly cloudy skies. Here’s 56 o’clock thursday evening you can see *** few scattered showers, I think better chances of rain as we go into thursday night, 9, 10 o’clock all the way through early friday morning, some of this rain will be moderate and heavy at times friday morning. Look at this by nine o’clock we could have some very heavy rainfall. This of course would be black friday and then the rainfall begins to taper off as we head into the afternoon. Maybe not as much rain. And then by friday evening we will just be cloudy and dry. Now on the backside of the system that’s bringing the rainfall, we will have colder air and any leftover moisture will be *** wintry mix or some light snowfall for the mountains saturday morning. So again, if your travels take you through the mountains, just keep an eye on this forecast. Sunday looks to be dry and sunny by the way, how much rain will we get? Well, as we go into late thursday night, thanksgiving night and black friday. We we’re looking at about an inch maybe more for some spots. So some of that rain is gonna come down pretty hard and heavy as we go throughout the day. Today, low to mid fifties, remember, normal is 61. We’ll finally get above that for *** day or two Wednesday and thursday. But most importantly overnight lows will warm to above that freezing mark. In fact, as we go throughout Wednesday, we should be above freezing across the mountains and the upstate as well
