The Greater Greenville Association of Realtors announced a 16% increase in active residential listings — from 3,147 in the multiple listing service on Aug. 10, 2021, to 3,651 on Aug. 10, 2022.

With the number of listings up, the average residential sales price has also increased 10.5% from $415,385 in 2021 to $458,983 in 2022, and median residential sales prices have risen 13.4%, from $299,900 to $340,000.

The average number of days on market has increased by 1.7% from 57 to 58.

GGAR also reported 1,244 homes were pending sale and 1,209 units were under contingency contract as of Aug. 10.

Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty honors top agents for July

Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty has announced its top agents for July.

They are:

  • Alexis Furman
  • Jansen Young
  • Pat McNamara
  • Charee McConchie
  • Diane Bostrom

In the Greenville office, McNamara and McConchie had the most listings sold, and Furman and Young were the top sales agents that month, while Bostrom was the top sales agent and had the most listings sold in the Clemson location in July.

Redfin reports more than 18% increase in median South Carolina home prices

Redfin announced an 18.3% increase in median home prices in South Carolina to $371,900 in June 2022.

While the median home price is up, the average number of homes was down 14.6% when compared to June 2021, and the number of homes sold decreased from 8,863 in 2021 to 7,578 in 2022.

The median days on market also dropped from 49 in 2021 to 39 in 2022.
