Earlier this month, the company announced a strategic shift to focus on selling and operating by brand rather than as an aggregated network. As part of the shift, longtime publisher Dao Nguyen stepped down and was replaced by Jessica Probus.
The company is also in the midst of advanced negotiations to sell Complex Media to the live-shopping platform Ntwrk for less than $140 million. The deal would come just two years after BuzzFeed Inc. acquired Complex Media for $300 million.
