This cream works excellently. It has cleared up my skin in the week I’ve been using it, and its tone also corrects redness. I’ve found that it also makes my makeup last longer.
I’m 23 with very oily skin, and I’ve been using OXY products for years. After using the Mario Badescu Cream, I’m beginning to think OXY was part of the problem. This is not as harsh, and the difference is almost night and day.
It does have an odor…somewhere between tarmac and bug repellant, but not nearly so potent. It’s not the “rotten eggs” smell I was expecting from a sulfur-based product, and I actually don’t mind it. As other reviewers have stated, the thickness and color of the cream, and the fact that it works by laying on top of your skin, can wash out your natural color. For me, it’s worked best applied in a thin layer at night or at least 20 minutes before applying makeup or sunscreen in the morning.
