Quaker Chewy Granola Bars

Today, December 15th, The Quaker Oats Company announced the voluntary recall of a number of specific granola bars and granola cereals due to potential contamination with Salmonella. You can view the details and a list of the affected products on the FDA’s Quaker Recall page.

The products are sold throughout the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and Saipan. Products include varieties of Chewy Granola Bars, Simply Granola Cereal, Protein Granola, and Puffed Granola Cereals. Some of the recalled products are included in snackbox variety packs with Frito-Lay chips. Be sure to check your pantries for any of the products and dispose of them.

If you’ve purchased one of the Quaker Oats Company products on the FDA’s Quaker recall page, you can contact Quaker Consumer Relations at 1-800-492-9322 (9am – 4:30pm CST, M-F). You can also head over to www.quakergranolarecall.com to determine if your product is affected by the recall, and to request reimbursement.

To date, Quaker has received no confirmed reports of illness related to the products covered by this recall.
