AS THEY CONDUCT THEIR INVESTIGATION. RIGHT NOW, THE SEVENTH ANNUAL MEN OF COLOR NATIONAL SUMMIT IS TAKING PLACE IN GREENVILLE, THAT EVENTS HOSTED. BY CLEMSON UNIVERSITY, AND IT WORKS TO PROMOTE INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY. OUR OWN JAMYA JAMYA IS LIVE AT THE GREENVILLE CONVENTION CENTER WITH ALL THE DETAILS. JAMYA. WELL, YOUNG MEN FROM ACROSS. THE COUNTRY HAVE COME TO THIS EVENT TO BE EDUCATED, INSPIRED AND EMPOWERED TOWARDS LIFE OPPORTUNITIES. THE SEVENTH ANNUAL CLEMSON MEN OF COLOR NATIONAL SUMMIT HAS BROUGHT TOGETHER AROUND 2000 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS ALWAYS BE OPEN TO NEW THINGS. BECAUSE WHEN DIFFERENT DOORS OPEN UP, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT’S ON THE OTHER SIDE UNLESS YOU WALK THROUGH. ALONG WITH EDUCATORS, BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY, WHEN THEY SAID THE SUMMIT, I WAS LIKE, OKAY, THAT’S SOMETHING THAT I WANT TO DO, SOMETHING I WAS INTERESTED IN. AND ALWAYS TO BE AROUND. NEW PEOPLE GET TO KNOW NEW THINGS AND SEE THINGS FROM DIFFERENT ASPECTS. THAT’S SOMETHING I’M I LOVE DOING AND ENJOY DOING. THE SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS THE POWER OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND ESTABLISHING A STREAM OF QUALIFIED COLLEGE GRADUATES GOING INTO THE WORKFORCE WHILE FACING. LIFE CHALLENGES. I CAME FROM BRAZIL, COULDN’T SPEAK ENGLISH AT ALL, AND EVEN WITH THE BARRIERS. THE LIMITATIONS OF BEING A MINORITY, I WAS ABLE TO TO MAKE IT AND MAKE A GOOD LIFE OUT OF IT AND ENCOURAGE THE YOUNG YOUNG MEN THAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF ANYTHING, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE THAT EVEN LIKE THE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE GOING TO BE THERE REGARDLESS OF WHO WE ARE, WHERE WE’RE FROM, AND IT’S JUST ABOUT HOW YOU YOU TACKLE THEM. Clemson men of color summit kicks off in Greenville, South Carolina

Students from across the country have come to the Greenville Convention Center to be educated, inspired and empowered toward life opportunities. The seventh annual Clemson Men of Color National Summit has brought together around 2,000 high school and college students. “Always be open to new things because when different doors open up, you never know what’s on the other side unless you walk through,” said Josiah Benton-Lowe, high school student. Along with educators, business professionals, government officials, and community leaders from across the country. “When they said a summit, I was like okay, that’s something that I want to, something I was interested in. And always gone around new people, getting to know new things and see things from different aspects, that’s something that I love doing and enjoy doing,” said Lowe. The summit highlights the power of higher education and establishing a stream of qualified college graduates going into the workforce and facing life challenges. “I came from Brazil, couldn’t speak English at all. And even with the barriers, limitations and being a minority I was able to make it and make a good life out of it,” said Fabio Tambosi, Keynote speaker/Clemson alumni.And encourage young men that they’re capable of anything. “Anything is possible. The circumstances, they’re going to be there regardless of who you are, where we’re from, and it’s just about how you tackle them,” said Tambosi.
